A few days ago, I was on a forum and someone posted a question.  What is a song that tells an entire story, beginning, middle and end? It only took a second to think of church hymns and Christmas songs. Composers and musicians have supplied us with a glorious host of music that celebrates and sets the tone of the holidays even in the secular world.

Frances J. Crosby, one of the most prolific composers of church music (she wrote or co-wrote over 8,000 songs!) was a missionary, teacher, writer, and composer who went blind at age three.  Tell Me The Story Of Jesus was written by Frances J. Crosby and John R. Sweney in 1880.

The Garment Of Praise Quartet is a male gospel quartet from Reading, PA who sing a cappella (voice only) music.

Although not a traditional Christmas carol, let us begin this season of joy by listening to Tell Me The Story Of Jesus.
