Today we are speaking with Emily Grey, to learn more about what went into writing her latest book. Touched By Grace is the latest addition to the Emerald Point Series, and features two hurt souls who learn to overcome their differences and heal from their troubled pasts.
| What is your writing schedule like? Five days a week, 1 to 2 hours. |

| What would you say is your interesting writing quirk? I refuse to accept a blank page. I keep on writing and trash it later. |

| How did you come up with your title? I felt the heroine deserved a warm title. |
|
| Tell us about your hero and heroine. What makes them likeable? Both of them are tough as a result of bad experiences. They don’t back down. |

| How much of the book is based in real life? The initial story was offered by a friend who experienced something similar. |
|
| What makes this book special to you? I wrote this book with my heart expanding to include the trials and tribulations of both characters. |

| Are plots based on someone you know or events in your own life? Yes. |

| What books have most influenced your life? The Bible and Killing Jesus |

| What makes this a “must read” and why? To help other women who are struggling with a similar situation. |

| Do you have a person you consider a mentor? No. I wish I did. |
|
| What book are you reading now? Friends Forever by Sherryl Woods. |
|
| What do you do when you’re not writing? Yoga, Reading, Helping an ailing neighbor. Seeing my children. |

| What does your family think of your writing? They are pleased that I’m focused on writing. |
|
| What is your next project? A widowed Marine and a doctor with four children. |

| If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book? No. |
|
| Is there anything you find particularly challenging when it comes to your writing? No. |
|
| Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work? I read a variety of authors, so right now i don’t have a favorite. |

| What is the hardest part about writing? The first draft. |
|
| Did you learn anything from writing this book? What was it? To be grateful for God’s blessings. |

| Do you have advice for other writers? Just keep on writing and learning. |
|
| Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers? I feel blessed that they chose my novel to read. |
