Tell us about your book.
Undercover Santa started with a title, thought up by my editor, Nicola Martinez. And the story idea started with her also. When she mentioned the hero possibly being a bounty hunter, the idea stuck with me and grew from there. With the help of my daughter, and three of her best friends, Undercover Santa was born.
Once I had the basic story foundation, the fun began. Turns out, the ninja elves (the four friends) in Undercover Santa set the stage for the tone of the entire story. These fun loving, free spirited young ladies with bright futures ahead of them made fantastic secondary characters.
While writing Undercover Santa, having talks with Sam and her friends made me giggle, and sometimes double over in laughter as we bounced ideas around. It was awesome. I felt like a teenager again. At least in my mind, I did. J
Of all the books I’ve written, I have to admit, I let my quirky side be shown more in this than any other.
My hope is that those who read Undercover Santa will feel their spirits lift and come away from the story with the reminder that not everything in life has to be so serious.
We should take the time to enjoy life!
God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.
Therefore, fix up a cup of hot cocoa, cuddle up on the sofa, and enjoy Jace and Kaylea as they fall in love in Undercover Santa.
