Scripture verse: Joshua 1:9

God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen is one of the oldest extant carols. The earliest known printed edition is in a broadsheet dated to c. 1760. The traditional English melody is in the minor mode. The carol is referred to in Charles Dickens's book, A Christmas Carol, 1843: "…at the first sound of 'God bless you, merry gentlemen! May nothing you dismay!', Scrooge seized the ruler with such energy of action that the singer fled in terror, leaving the keyhole to the fog and even more congenial frost."

Viva Maria Choir, from the country of Lebanon, is a modern choir formed by committed believers who decided to implore their talents to serve God and help people pray. This is their flash mob rendition of God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen in a Beirut mall.
