As one who has read every book this amazing author has penned, I was delighted (not surprisingly!) to find that she delivered again a solid and poignant story with FORGIVENESS. With such creative and descriptive word use characteristic of this author, Marianne masterfully weaves a compelling story, allowing the reader to experience it with all the senses and engaging every emotion.

This is the enchanting, tender-hearted love story of Chase Bradington and Pyper Brock, two Country music stars whose lives merge through collaboration on a song, and are transformed by the power of forgiveness. A once-upon-a-time-bad-boy, Chase battles with a past darkened and marred by the devastating effects of alcohol addiction and the tragic death of his music partner, Shayne. After months of rehabilitation and establishing a faith-filled relationship with God in the process, he emerges back onto the music performance scene determined to make a fresh start in his career. Pyper is the daughter of a prominent Country gospel musician and destined to make a name for herself in the music industry. As Chase and Pyper’s lives intersect, Pyper’s reality unravels when she’s challenged to face a past that is painfully scarred by childhood abuse inflicted by her biological father. The story was compelling in its themes of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration…the central message being that no matter what difficult or afflictive circumstances we face in life, forgiveness is vital in unlocking the heart and spirit to experience ultimate freedom and healing…forgiveness is the link in transforming a “victim” into an “overcomer”. As a professional counselor who has worked extensively with those impacted by alcohol and various abuses, I found Marianne’s wisdom and guidance in addressing the sensitive topics to be relevant and spot on.

FORGIVENESS delivers a captivating story that is tastefully written, and highlights the values of respect, honor, honesty, purity, and second chances. I found this book intriguing, completely engaging from its opening lines, difficult to put down, and deeply emotionally and spiritually compelling throughout.
