(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars I have never been a fan of historical Christian romance stories, however author Christine Lindsay has definitely changed my mind. Sofi's Bridge is a beautifully written story that will restore your belief in the human spirits ability to overcome what seems to be impossible.

Twenty one year old Sofi Andersson has grown up with the finer things in life. She is the oldest daughter of a family in crisis. She has become the backbone of her family since the tragic drowning death of her father. Her sister is slowly descending into madness after witnessing her fathers untimely death and her mother is lost in a grief driven drug induced haze. A business partner of her late father, who has taken over the family affairs, has her mother convinced that putting her sister away in a sanatorium is what is best for her. Sofi refuses to believe her sister belongs in a sanatorium, she believes that her sister just needs time to heal.

Through the help of the family gardner Neil, Sofi is able to runaway with her sister to keep her safe. However Neil, an Irishman in trouble with the law, has secrets of his own that will either help or endanger the sisters. Throughout the story Sofi and Neil begin to develop feelings for each other. But can they overcome all the obstacles in their way?

The story that follows is truly inspiring and uplifting. I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys a well written easy to read story with true to life characters.
