5 of 5 Stars Beauty for Ashes is a wonderful story of redemption. It shows how devastating guilt can be when we haven’t accepted God’s forgiveness. Nathan is in pain because of poor choices he made as a teen. He’s been running from his past for years, but he can’t outrun his guilt and shame, especially when he returns to his hometown and his life intersects with those he caused pain. The author weaves grace and forgiveness into the novel, and you’ll feel each emotion along with the characters. I’ve read three books by Ms. Neely, and she always delivers an emotional, believable, God-honoring story.
