(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars When Megan bumped into Lee, she was not looking for happily-ever-after. She had written off men, marriage, and romance and wanted nothing to do with any of them. Lee, on the other hand, saw something worth pursuing in Megan but knew enough that he needed to proceed slowly lest he scare her off.

This was a friends to lover story. Megan and Lee started out as friends but their relationship eventually became something more. Interspersed with the romance was also the story of Megan's conversion.

Parts of this book felt like it was trying to be a romantic comedy but I didn't find it funny and the attempts at humor weren't consistent. I didn't connect with any of these characters but enjoyed Megan's conversion story. I liked how she moved from a place of doubting God to realizing that His hands were all over her life. I liked watching Megan make the connections between what had happened with her earthly father and her inability to trust God.

I received an advanced reader's copy from the publishers as part of the Penguin Book Group Booklovers program; a positive review was not required.
