(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars I liked this book a lot for several reasons. Although initially disheartened by the first few paragraphs, which seemed a little too sticky-sweet, the writer went on to develop a well-written story with relatable characters. These characters had problems stemming from their need to know God's love and to have His guidance in their lives and these points were made naturally and gently. I appreciated that the spiritual content was appropriate, biblical, and in context for the story.

For me, the test of a good story is whether I can picture the setting and feel comfortable with the characters. The setting for this book was drawn so well with words that I could practically hear the streams up in the hills. I did think that the more peripheral characters could have been developed a bit more in a longer book, and I would have like to hear more about Cameron and Ben so, maybe there will be a sequel? Altogether, a nice read for a winter's day.

Warm regards,
