This lovely Christmas novella is the first of Loree Peery’s stories I have read. All I can say is I have a lot of catching up to do! I enjoyed Christmas Fulfilled for so many reasons. I was drawn to main character Pink Rainwater from the start, sympathetic to her nightmare childhood (growing up with a storage unit for a home, with an abusive father and a loving but fearful mother.) It was easy to understand why Pink might have trust issues. This brave girl deserved good things in life and God delivered in the most wonderful of ways. As an adult, Pink relocates from Colorado back to Nebraska to be closer to her mother and her sister, Pepper, whom she has recently reconnected with. God not only provides her with a job, but she gets a handsome hero, Bowie Miller, in the deal! A man of deep faith, Bowie is immediately attracted to Pink. Through his encouragement and bravery in protecting her from an unforeseen threat, Pink receives the best Christmas gift of all – faith in Jesus and a true new beginning. The characters had many ups and downs. Through them all the author wove themes of hope and redemption to create an uplifting story of the goodness of God. Christmas Fulfilled is a delight! I was given an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
