5 of 5 Stars Fly Me Home for Christmas by Erin Stephenson is a moving story about a young woman, Sara Quinn, who, as a child, lost her entire family in a plane crash. Injured and in a wheelchair from the accident, Sara stays in Hawaii and makes a new life for herself. Beck Sutherland is a pilot who routinely flies a route from the continental US and Hawaii. He’s based in Hawaii so he can spend time with his two sons who live on the islands with his ex-wife. The author has done a wonderful job creating a moving story that’s a mixture of love, doubt, warmth, sorrow and forgiveness. I absolutely loved this book. This tender story is moving and realistic. I couldn’t put it down. The only negative thing I can say is that it’s too short. Maybe the author will write a sequel for next Christmas.
