The old saying, when it rains, it pours, seems to be holding true for Yari- literally. On the heels of becoming unemployed, a family emergency forces her to change her Christmas plans – a lovely skiing holiday with friends that she has looked forward to for months- and rush to her parents home in Scotland instead. With no flights available at such a late date, she must travel by train – with the man she’s just let down in a business meeting for a seatmate! And then the train is stalled when a fallen tree blocks the tracks. But what seems to be a series of misfortunes works together in the best possible way to become the pathway to the love both Yari and Noel have dreamed of. I have much enjoyed Clare Revel’s writing style in her past works and Strangers On A Christmas Train is no exception. Once again the author combines wit, humor, and an unmistakable faith element to create a delightful story (with a surprise ending) that you won’t want to put down. If you don’t have plans for Christmas (and even if you do) hop on the train with this adorable couple and go along for the ride. You’ll be glad you did!
