Son of the Mountain King is a gripping tale of adventure, intrigue, love and betrayal. In this Biblical allegory, Sykora weaves a beautiful tapestry of God’s love, sacrifice and redemption. My heart soared and I got chills as I uncovered the layers of symbolism throughout the pages. This story felt like a perfect combination of the allegorical writings of C. S. Lewis, with the medieval lands of J.R. Tolkien, the fairy tales of George MacDonald, the transformative lessons of Hinds Feet on High Places and the humor, romance and adventure of The Princess Bride. I could read it again and again. This book truly has something for everyone. I can’t wait to see more from this talented author.
