(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars I just finished reading Under the August Sky by Erin Stevenson, and I couldn’t put it down. I loved it. It’s a beautiful story of forgiveness and second chances. Megan Thomas and her baby daughter have returned to her home in Oregon, hoping to repair her relationship with her father, escape her past, and gain a new start. But when her daughter becomes ill, she takes her to a local doctor’s office, only to discover that she and the physician’s assistant, John Johanssen, share a past…a painful past that will require forgiveness and patience to repair. I loved how the author gently mended the broken relationships between Megan and her father, and Megan and John. I enjoyed the characters in Under the August Sky. I found them to be realistic and well-developed.
