Undercover Cop Garrett Alexander is recovering from an injury received at work, and because he can’t perform his regular duties, he’s sent to the town of Autumn Springs to help investigate a rash of burglaries. He hates dogs. But when he reaches his lodgings, he finds Sarge, a big dog placed there as part of his cover. When Sarge becomes sick, he takes the dog to Dr. Mallory. From that point the two form a bond, and work together to solve the mystery of the robberies. I really enjoyed this book. It has something for everyone: romance, comedy, suspense, and dogs. Once I started the book I couldn’t put it down. The plot was well-developed and the characters magnetic. Plus, there are dogs! I highly recommend it.
