Garrett Alexander doesn’t particularly like dogs. He’s only posing as a “dog dad” to the large, loveable “Sarge” to help his old friend, the county sheriff, solve the mystery of a rash of burglaries in and around the small town of Autumn Springs. He does, however, like pretty blonde veterinarians. Even when they mistake him for a criminal! His attraction to Mallory Morris is instant, even though she seems a bit dog-crazy… I was excited to read this story for a couple of reasons. One, it involves dogs (I love dogs!) and two, it was written by one of my favorite romance authors. In Dr. Mallory and the Undercover Dog Dad, Erin Stevenson delivers a delightful romance with a page-turning plot, fun characters, and a puzzling mystery for readers to solve. Ms. Stevenson has obviously done her homework regarding police procedure, as well as the field of veterinary medicine. The story comes together seamlessly and oh- so- romantically with a lovely element of faith. “Dog Dad” is another home run from an author who never disappoints. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys devouring a Christian romance with a side of mystery!
