5 of 5 Stars Another winner from this deeply spiritual and talented author, Barbara Britton. Escape to Whispering Creek is the sequel to Christmas at Whispering Creek, but it can be read as a standalone. That said, I always recommend reading any series in order. The balance between the romance and suspense is handled so well, but neither ever overshadowed the spiritual component of the story. The main characters are endearing. Emma in particular jumped right off the page into this reader’s heart. I hope we’ll be treated to more contemporary romance from one of my favorite authors! I received an advance copy of this book but am not required to leave a positive review. The thoughts are my own.
