5 of 5 Stars My first experience with Karen Malley’s writing was with Moonlight and Mystery. I fell in love with Jason and Beth and was completely engrossed in their love story. I was delighted to learn of a second Chester County Couples book, Recipes and Redemption and couldn’t wait to read it. I was not disappointed! The story picks up where “Moonlight” ended, shifting its focus to Jason’s sister, Erin and his best friend, Rusty. A redheaded history professor with a quick sense of humor, Rusty is every girl’s best friend, but never the boyfriend. He has always been secretly attracted to Erin, but feels that, like everyone else, she sees him only as a friend. So why is it that every time she needs a hero, Erin seems to turn to Rusty? The story is filled with many interesting surprises and scenarios that kept me turning the pages. I loved the tender relationship between Erin and her baby boy, Oliver and I particularly enjoyed the cooking scenes as Erin got her small catering business off the ground. This is a lovely, wholesome romance with likeable characters and a clear message of faith. I can hardly wait for the next installment! I was given a review copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
