(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars Beth has to live up to the family name. The name Tarrington influences everything from where she lives and worships to who she's engaged to marry. But a simple, yet magical, carnation and the part in a local play are about to change not only who she thinks she is, but how she reacts to life and the people around her. One of those people is Jason, a science teacher at a Christian school, as well as amateur actor and part-time magician. (I loved the way he wove true observable science and the Bible together as he taught!) He's immediately smitten with Beth, but she's both engaged and way out of his league. Their roles in the play and random life keep bringing them together and help them past preconceived notions. Speaking of the play, the smidgens of the mystery they enact are wonderful and it was actually a scene in the play that brought me to tears. Even for someone like me (who doesn't regularly read contemporary romance) there were enough plots and twists to keep me turning pages. Definitely worth a curtain call!
