4 of 5 Stars Whitewater Wishes is the third installment in Katherine Robles’s Romance in the Park series. It follows the story of Bridget, a white water rafting guide, and Drew, a nurse. I thought the struggles faced by the main characters were compelling and well presented. In particular the story of Drew helping a longtime friend was a unique one to the genre. It was nice to have a fresh storyline. It was obvious that the author has a deep knowledge of whitewater rafting. The details and action were authentic and very interesting, but I have never been a part of that world and perhaps that’s one reason why I had trouble connecting with the story. The characters seemed like young adults, and admittedly, it’s been awhile since I’ve been in that demographic. The love triangle threat from one of Bridget’s co-workers seemed a little cliché to me, but it will probably resonate with readers younger than myself. So, if you were born after about 1980 ? and have an adventurous spirit and love the outdoors, you’ll love Whitewater Wishes.
