5 of 5 Stars Whenever an author chooses rural Tennessee as the setting for a book, as a Tennessee girl I am anxious to see how my beloved home is portrayed. Barbara M. Britton nailed it with her latest book, Christmas at Whispering Creek. If you have never experienced the longing for a sweet country Christmas, you will after reading this book. It is a wonderful story of overcoming the adversities that life sometimes hands us and embracing where the changes lead with the understanding that God has a plan and is in control. You will journey with Sam and Cole as their paths collide into a splendidly sweet friendship, and possibly more. Britton’s attention to detail paints a picture that envelops the reader in a way that few authors can. I loved it.
