This is a charming, lovely story with real depth. The heroine, Sam, is a breast cancer survivor. The author drew on her own breast cancer journey, which she talks about at the back of the book. For Sam, it’s a physical and an emotional journey, as well as a spiritual one. And it doesn’t help that her long-time boyfriend can’t handle it and breaks up with her. But then an inheritance falls into her lap, a cozy log cabin in the woods in rural Tennessee, which comes with plenty of challenges, including a freak storm, a curmudgeonly neighbor, and Cole, a handsome and unexpected house guest, who is recovering from issues of his own. I loved everything about this story. Sam and Cole are great together. And I love the way their faith helps them grow as individuals and in their love for each other. I received an advanced copy of this book, but my review is my honest opinion.
