I’m a big fan of Barbara Britton’s biblical fiction. And I enjoyed this contemporary romance just as much. Her characters are beautifully flawed. And I fell in love with them as she masterly wove a theme of God’s redemptive love throughout the storyline. Her heroine is dealing with the aftermath of breast cancer. And the hero is fighting his own battles, trying to overcome failure and gain the respect of his brother. Christmas at Whispering Creek is a beautiful story of overcoming brokenness to find wholeness. It’s the perfect inspiration for the holiday season.
