5 of 5 Stars In this gripping tale that starts off with a bang, Ms. Klumpers delivers a marvelous who-done-it with a host of off-beat characters that kept me guessing. Pauli is a strong but vulnerable woman who doesn't know who to trust, and really doesn't know what to do. Someone is out to get her. She stops running in the small town of Brier, home of the Sweetbriar Clinic, which isn't anywhere near the beaten path. I didn't want to put the book down, but when I did I couldn't stop thinking about. This was an excellent page turner.
