5 of 5 Stars Barbara Britton truly has a talent for taking characters from Biblical times and bringing them to life. While Ittai the Gittite is mentioned in II Samuel, we really don't know anything about him so this is a fictionalized story. The author does a fabulous job of writing what this Philistine warrior could have been like while staying true to the other facts about King David and his story. I appreciated this. I couldn't help but love Ittai and Rimona's story. This has now become my favorite of this author's books and I will be reading it again soon!
