I never met a Clare Revell mystery that I didn’t enjoy, and such is the case with Blue Christmas. Set in a charming town of St. Morien, England, the descriptions made me want to pack up and spend my holiday in Cornwall.

I loved the relationship that developed between Jenica (an independent and sometimes trying woman) and Aidan (a single father and hard-working policeman), and I was pulling for them to get together from the very beginning. The author uses wordplay that only enhances their relationship and makes the reader root for them as their budding romantic interest begins to develop.

As with the other Clare Revell mysteries I’ve read, I thought I had figured out who the villain was (many times) only to discover I was wrong. And I was completely surprised when it was finally revealed.

This is an intriguing story that will draw you in and keep you guessing until the end.
