(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars I enjoyed Heart of a Warrior by Angela K. Couch. The plot involved the violent widowing of a pregnant woman who was rescued by a native American male with also white parentage while she was stranded from her wagon train on the Oregon Trail in 1800's. Her hostility toward her rescuer makes the story complicated and not resolved until nearly the end, when all turns well. The author keeps the story flowing by the crises that keep popping up. She does well with her descriptions of settings; she lets you know what the two main characters are thinking. I believe you'll agree that this book was worth reading when you finish it.
