(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars I'd give this a ten if I could. Ruth 1:16 is a perfect verse for a love that spans centuries. At age eight Yvetta is in a castle and meets an oddly dressed boy, Blaize, with heterochromia eyes. He’s accompanied by a monkey. She’s now 30 and burnt herself while a hooded figure called her by name. Her brother wants to put her back in therapy because she stopped her dream suppressant meds. Masterful writing absorbed my attention and the real world drifted away. Etta saw Blaize and the faceless at unprecedented times, where fear trapped her inside her mind and she lost days at a time. The dark threat is real, a true allegory. Her reality is both here and in the past. Stellar authorship never had me confused. Blaize introduced Etta to Christ and the Bible when she was 14. But her world turned dark where even God seemed to abandon her. The villain is alive and full of trickery, but true love wins.
