(image for) 5 of 5 Stars5 of 5 Stars Right out of the gate I was interested, from the Dedication page I was drawn. As I read on, it slowed a little but the deeper I got into the story, the more I enjoyed it. I grew to really care about the characters, even the background characters and families. I would appreciate one or two spin-offs most notably about the Harknesses and Jenny. The author has built herself quite a little town on this trail and I would get a kick out of a visit. I do admit to being a little confused at the end about some details in a showdown scene. Speaking of scenes, this book, to me, would be awesome as a movie.... with a few flashbacks from everyone's mentioned past and the trail parts (the meat of the book of course) it writes itself as a script with amazing scenery. Oh, the way the author works in the relationship of the characters with the Lord is stirring. The intimacy, passion, sincerity, and truth with which she writes those scenes speaks of an author with an honest and real relationship with Jesus-- that comes through and is by far the most remarkable aspect of this book-- that alone is worth the read. I could relate many times with character-God discussions and descriptions. Please, let's see some more from these characters even if they are in novellas (actually my fav kinds to read).

Thanks again,
