5 of 5 Stars I love books where characters have a history together and the first chapter of this book had me hooked with the intriguing way it alluded to the characters' shared past. I also liked how there were problems the characters faced and they weren't all solved with happy endings, although many were. I also liked the little devotional at the end of the book. My only dislike was that there were the typical 'bad guys' as is common to this genre and they were quickly dealt with near the end, although not in a cliché way.
