What if the journey home changes everything?

Noel Donner has three days to save his family’s toymaking business or face laying off twenty-seven employees before Christmas. When a critical investment meeting collapses, he boards a train out of London, desperate for a miracle. The last thing he needs is nine hours trapped beside Yari Ephron, the advertising executive he blames for his failure.

Yari Ephron just quit her job after her boss sabotaged Noel’s deal...and now she’s racing home to her injured father, thanks to her mother’s dramatic phone call. Stuck on a crowded train with the one man who thinks she ruined his future, Yari expects an awkward silence. Instead, they find unexpected common ground: faith, family, and a shared frustration with meddling parents.

But when floods strand them overnight, their forced proximity turns into something neither planned. As they share stories, laughter, and even a kiss under the mistletoe, Noel and Yari begin to wonder: Could this train delay be the best detour of their lives?

A heartwarming Christian romance about trust, divine timing, and love finding you in the most surprising moments. Perfect for fans of:

    • holiday train journeys,
    • enemies-to-lovers, and
    • stories where faith leads the way.

If Hallmark were a book, Strangers on a Christmas Train would be it. Clare Revell delivers an endearing, feel-good Christmas story filled with warmth, hope, and divine purpose. When two travelers, who get off to a bad start and then find their paths unexpectedly intertwined after a holiday journey, their unfolding story beautifully lends itself to the providence of God and His perfect plan for our lives. Revell’s characters feel real and relatable, her pacing steady and comforting—like the rhythmic hum of a train through softly falling snow. This story reminds readers that even in frustration and delay, God is at work weaving something meaningful and good.

The old saying, when it rains, it pours, seems to be holding true for Yari- literally. On the heels of becoming unemployed, a family emergency forces her to change her Christmas plans – a lovely skiing holiday with friends that she has looked forward to for months- and rush to her parents home in Scotland instead. With no flights available at such a late date, she must travel by train – with the man she’s just let down in a business meeting for a seatmate! And then the train is stalled when a fallen tree blocks the tracks. But what seems to be a series of misfortunes works together in the best possible way to become the pathway to the love both Yari and Noel have dreamed of. I have much enjoyed Clare Revel’s writing style in her past works and Strangers On A Christmas Train is no exception. Once again the author combines wit, humor, and an unmistakable faith element to create a delightful story (with a surprise ending) that you won’t want to put down. If you don’t have plans for Christ
