What are the chances that accidentally knocking over someone’s trash cans on a dark street would lead to a new lease on life?

Moving to Chestnut Crossings is Lucy Carrington‘s only chance to live her Christian beliefs free from ridicule. But when she runs over the church trash cans, her new beginning gets off to a rocky start. Thankfully, the pastor is as forgiving as he is handsome.

Pastor Jim Sullivan is impressed by Lucy. She's a woman of her word and doesn't seem to take the easy way out. But when he offers her a job, he soon discovers her quirks---she's always late, embraces as a blessing something he views as a curse, and is hiding something about her past...not that Jim should judge. He has issues of his own he'd like to keep hidden.

When Pastor Jim asks Lucy to sing at the Christmas pageant, she's faced with a difficult and emotional decision.

Will singing free her heart from painful family memories…and inspire Jim to forgive himself, too?

In Light a Christmas Candle, discover a holiday season filled with challenges, forgiveness, love and restoration.

Who knew that crashing into someone’s trash cans could change your life? Lucy Carrington is a candle maker with a black lab named Dillon. New to Chestnut Crossing, she gets off on a no-so-good foot by crashing into Hamish Sullivan’s (the new preacher) trash cans. While each is interested in the other, serious concerns and past pains drive them apart and threaten to keep them from becoming anything other than co-workers unless they can find the honesty to deal with their painful pasts. Grab yourself some hot cocoa, curl up in front of a fireplace, and enjoy a sweet Christmas romance.

Lucy's parents did not share her beliefs and wanted her to become a lawyer. Lucy wanted to make candles. Pleasing her parents is hopeless so she and her dog, Dillon, leave home. They arrive in Chestnut Crossing and run over Pastor Jim's trash cans. From there on in, the relationship between the two warms then cools, then warms again only to fade once more due to their sad pasts that keep them prisoners of regret. This sweet romance gently brings the importance of Christian principles into the story. A lovely Christmas story with a tender message of faith for all.

This is a wonderful story of faith and love of Lucy and Jim, both of whom have problems that haunt them from their past. Lucy has relocated and found a new home. She fits in and is accepted by the people in a church. Her outgoing personality and ability to see solutions to other people's problems and her own is refreshing and holds a message of faith for everyone. The story tells of her character and her ability to influence others by her outstanding devotion to helping others and solving her own problems. I highly recomend this story and its timely release for the aproaching Christmas season.
