Material witness Mandi Foster is running. And for good reason—if she testifies her family will pay the ultimate price. With no choice but to hide until the trial is over, she finds an isolated cabin to ride out Christmas alone—except she isn’t alone.
A mysterious stranger follows her through a treacherous winter storm into the Blue Ridge Mountains, and then saves her from a potentially fatal accident. But as coincidences pile up, Mandi suspects her handsome rescuer is harboring dangerous secrets.
Security Specialist Rylan Copeland is hunting. And for good reason—he has witnessed murderers walk away unpunished. He isn’t about to let that happen again—not when he can do something to stop it. But as he catches up to Mandi, danger comes in ways he hadn’t anticipated.
Will he convince her to testify in time? Or will another killer get away with murder?
Whoa! I opened Christmas Hideaway before bed to read “for just 10-15 minutes.” An hour later, I had to force myself to close it so I could get some sleep! The characters and plot quickly drew me in, and there were just enough cleverly placed breadcrumbs to keep me nibbling away. Highly recommend!
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time; Through no fault of her own, Mandy Foster happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Her lip reading skills made her a material witness for an upcoming murder trial. After threats against her family, and a visit by the criminal to her house one night, she choses to leave town to save them all. But someone follows her.
I really enjoyed this story. The plot is well-developed and the storyline gripping. I could not put it down. The only negative thing I might say is that I wish it had been longer. I would have loved to see what happened in the future between the heroine and the hero.
This is an intriguing story for the Christmas season.
