It all began as a lark. Shay Callahan’s life was just fine, thank you, but when the seemingly misogynistic missionary, Timothy Flynn, places an advertisement in a Christian magazine for a wife, Shay decides to give it a whirl. Why not? After all, she’s not currently seeing anyone, and this man truly needs to be taught a lesson.

When Dr. Flynn picks Shay's application, she hops on a plane and flies to the Philippines. The strategy is to jet in, enjoy an exciting two-week vacation, and jet out again, all at his expense. Instead, her plan backfires. The handsome missionary man is not what he seems, and the foreign land has far more to offer than Shay could imagine.

Embark on a tropical adventure with Shay that challenges everything she believes.

Manila Marriage App is a delightful romantic adventure in the Philippines. Shay is a feisty heroine who I wanted to be my next door neighbor/best friend. And Timothy is the embodiment of the idea that still waters run deep. As Shay peels back his layers, you can't help fall in love right along with her.

I absolutely loved the book. The sight and smells of Manila came to life. I could imagine so clearly what Shay was seeing. This book had great development of characters. Watching Shay and Timothy change over the course of the book was really fun. I found myself rereading the book and each time a new detail jumped out. This is definitely a must read!

Mail order bride 21st century Timothy wants a wife. He's a missionary in Manila and posts an ad for a wife. Shay responds half because her sister dares her, half because she just realized she's getting older and doesn't have a prospect. Jan elder has a way with words that keeps you wanting to read until it's done. She has a great story line and develops her characters so that you feel you definitely can relate. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading other works by this author in the future! This book was gifted to me in exchange for my honest review.
