Dora Ogden’s life has been perfectly normal. Two parents. Four brothers. A full-time job in her father’s café. But, when she finds a box three days before Easter, everything changes.

With the very foundations of her life ripped from under her feet, Dora heads south, leaving everything behind.

Avon Xenon loves his job in a care home. Of the sixty residents, his favourite is Betsy. She often repeats the same story about her kidnapped baby and missing necklace. But as she also has a weekly chat with Queen Victoria, Avon is never sure how much of her story is real.

Arriving in Headley Cross in search of the truth, Dora drifts, unsure where to begin looking for the truth. Will a chance encounter with Avon help ground her once again? Will she find the answers she needs...Is there any hope left at the bottom of the box?

Another home run, touchdown, goal, unexpected win--whatever sports metaphor you want to use--from Clare Revell. Although I would categorize this as a bottom-of-the-ninth home run, a touchdown after a Hail Mary pass, a last-second goal by the trailing underdog, and a photo finish. Did I make my point? From the opening pages, I simply couldn't put it down. In a very short amount of time I was completely invested in both the plot and the two main characters. The delicate balance between the romance and the suspense was masterfully achieved. The supporting cast of minor characters were like spices sprinkled on a delicious dish, making it even better. And if you're a devotee of Revell's books, a special cameo by two of her most loved characters was the cherry on top! Enough with the metaphors...I loved this book, and the fact that it was set at Easter made it even more special. When it comes to romantic suspense, no one does it better than Clare Revell--AND she does it with all the charming

Ms. Revell always keeps me captivated with her stories, and The Box was no exception. I was completely intrigued by the premise. Imagine finding out one day that your entire life is a lie. Dora’s world comes crashing down around her, but thanks to her faith in God and the caring help of Avon, she finds her way. You can’t help but feel for Dora and for Betsy. The characters are wonderful, and you’ll keep turning pages to find out how Dora’s life turned out the way it did.

What happens when a young woman, Dora, finds a box with her name on it in her parents’ attic? A box that’s been hidden all these years? She opens it only to discover that the life she’s lived and is living may be a lie. Nothing may be as she thinks. And now, she must find the truth. And in searching, the question arises, Is there any hope for her life? And will her past be redeemed? I enjoyed this mystery by Clare Revell. Its focus on new beginnings and redeeming the past makes it the perfect novel for the Easter season. Congratulations to Ms. Revell on another intriguing story.
