A new life coming into the world disrupts Susan’s quiet life…
Susan Montgomery is used to a quiet, peaceful life managing her apartment building, where the hardest problem is her grouchy neighbor’s leaky faucet. She soon finds herself dealing with a pregnant teenage niece, a mysterious briefcase left behind by a tenant, and two very different men vying for her heart.
A near-death experience gives Mac a new outlook on life…
Christopher “Mac” MacAllister is trying to figure out how to “do the Christian thing.” As a new convert, he’s drawn to Susan’s love for life and for God. She’s nothing like the women he used to date; but can Mac compete with the guy who’s come out of nowhere and knows all the right things to say?
Karen Malley has done it again. Romance, intrigue, faith, and a sweet happy ending. I'm ready for another visit to Pine Springs!
Oh my goodness! In A Second Chance for Grace, Ms. Malley deals with the issue of teenage pregnancy in a way that shows God's love, mercy, forgiveness and yes, grace, in a way we should all strive to exemplify. I love how the title reflects so many aspects of the story!
Kudos to Ms. Malley for a heart-warming story that encourages and challenges while it entertains.
Susan has a good, faithful heart but she is not very perceptive, which is part of the reason this book drew me in. Her pregnant, sixteen year old niece is more intuitive. Still, Susan takes on the responsibility for her niece when the teenager's parents are ready to disown her. Then there's Max, who has some rough edges. Behind them stands a community of believers working together to do what needs to be done. A sweet story of people working wonders with their faith.
