Forgiveness, Faithfulness, and Family I’ve enjoyed all of the Erin Stevenson books I’ve read, and this one is no exception. In A Dream of Christmas, the reader is reunited with the wonderful Donavan family once again (Yay! Love them!!). And we have the chance to learn about Finn’s past and get a glimpse into his generous and faithful heart. Erin Stevenson has created a beautiful world filled with uplifting and encouraging characters. This story is all about forgiveness and second chances. About faithfulness and family. I’d love to take a roadtrip to the Donovan’s restaurant and just hang out around the fireplace eating cheesecake bites! Bravo to the author for another heart-warming and engaging story. Perfect for the Christmas season.
I’ve never aspired to running a restaurant. Proprietor Finn is exhausted after feeding the hungry on Thanksgiving. Twice-divorced Charity, a woman he’d loved in the past, pounded on the door with four children in tow. Finn offers the apartment above the restaurant for her family, and Charity begins a job as baker. Feelings spark, along with the constant threat of danger. The younger children’s grandfather is involved in illegal activity that makes him powerful and wealthy. Finn refuses to let Charity run again. The threat increased story tension, but it is a romance, so I expected a good ending. And was more than satisfied.
Oh this one is amazing. A full length showstopper of a read that keeps you turning page after page. So much emotion on a rollercoaster of a book. Finn and Charity’s story is one you’ll want to read again and again.
