Fans of pioneer stories and the Oregon Trail will not be disappointed in the second installment of Kathleen Bailey's, Westwern Dreams series. Right from the beginning, sparks fly between Bailey's hero, Pace Williams, and her fiery, Irish heroine, Oona Moriarty. I loved the witty banter between the two that often had me chuckling out loud. A story of love and forgiveness painted in beautiful word pictures: Settlers’ Hope is the first book I’ve read by Kathleen Bailey. But it definitely will not be the last. This is a beautiful story of learning to let go of past hurts and wrongs to find peace and fulfillment. I loved the strong and wise hero, Pace and the spirited and spunky heroine, Oona. The story drew me in from the first scene and held my interest until the final word. The author has a gift for painting beautiful word pictures that bring the story and setting to life.
I love Kathy Bailey's books! I have read her first 2, now I am waiting to read the third. She blends her knowledge of history with biblical principles in her novels in a way that makes it hard for me to put her books down! Now on to the third one!
