Heartbroken over the unfair loss of a position in the school where she teaches, Angela Taylor is determined to find an AP position.

Adam Thornton has struggled for years to overcome the physical and emotional effects of a devastating accident that occurred when he was a teenager. A successful real estate attorney and part-time handyman, Adam uses his gifts and talents to serve others.

When Angela is hired as an AP at the school where Adam’s mother is the principal, Angela and Adam find they share a past…an unexpected connection. And they must choose whether to surrender to the pain of that past or find hope for the future in the spirit of Christmas.

Another winner from Carol James! If you enjoy a sweet romance, real characters with depth who look to God to help them work through the struggles of life, and Christmas, you’ll love Choosing Christmas. As I saw the book’s end looming closer, I wondered how all the issues standing in the way of the happy ending I so wanted for Adam and Angie would ever be resolved in time. But Carol James got everything wrapped up and tied with a beautiful bow on the final page—a gift to the reader! There’s a lesson here for all 365 days of the year. Here’s hoping that you’ll choose Choosing Christmas.

Angie is heartbroken over not getting the assist principal position. She prayed, and the next day was offered the AP in a smaller Christian school. She accepts, and leaves a three-year relationship along with the Fort Worth school. Adam is a contractor, and principal’s son as well as an attorney, who renovated Angie’s new furnished home. “Every day I choose Christmas” is a line woven through this elevating story worthy of another read.

This book pulled me in from the beginning. As a retired teacher, I really felt connected to the characters. Angie and Adam are great. It's the story of how God can use us and also how He can lead our lives, if we are open to Him. Angie needed a change and she was led to the small school where Adam's mother is the principal. The story is just so heartwarming and a wonderful way to start the Christmas season. I highly recommend this book. I was given a copy of the book but was not required to write a review. This review is my own opinion.
