Two distinct sets of villains. Two orphaned children. A man without a country and a woman with too much past...All in a rambunctious young country where anything goes, especially in the West. Seriously. What can go wrong?

In this latest installment of the best-selling series, "Western Dreams", join Jenny and White Bear as they cross the historic West in an epic story peppered with grit, guns, and glory that award-winning author Kelly Goshorn calls "a sweeping tale of faith, dedication, and perseverance set in the American west."

"...masterful wordsmithing!" says Clarice G. James, author of "The Least of These," "Party of One," "Double Header" and "Manhattan Grace."

I am a writer, but writing reviews has always been a challenge for me. In this case, I was so moved by the story when I finished it that I had to take some time to process. Then I read a review that was so beautifully crafted and all my thoughts paled in comparison, so I took another step back. My cardinal rule is to always read a series in order, but in this case it wasn’t possible. On the rare occasion when I break this rule, sometimes I feel lost in the story, like I’ve dropped into the middle of something, and it’s unsettling and often annoying. This was definitely not the case here. The story completely stood on its own. This story contains beautifully crafted characters and is chock-full of deep spiritual truths. I love history and the criss-crossing of the country by the two main characters fascinated me. Small spoiler alert—I expected them to find one another in the culminating scene at the end of the story. But Kathy Bailey had a much better idea. When it happened bef

Redemption’s Hope, the third installment of the Western Dreams series, is a riveting tale that twists and turns on its way to a satisfying ending. Whatever the setting—the colorful New Mexico desert, a burned out Cheyenne village, the mysterious Louisiana Bayou, or cholera-ridden New Orleans—beautifully painted, detailed descriptions draw you into the story and bring it to life. The author effectively executes the flashback element without stalling the flow of the story. The characterization is outstanding including real life historical figures adeptly woven into the story. White Bear and Jenny are two of my favorite characters in the series. Their romantic relationship is endearing. I greatly appreciate the strong faith message of redemption and a personal relationship with God. I also appreciate the author’s Devotional Moment that follows the story with encouraging words about peace. I totally enjoyed this book and recommend it especially for fans of Western Historical fictio

A beautiful story of self-sacrifice and unconditional love- I’m sitting here, having just finished Ms. Bailey’s book, trying to decide how simple words can express the depth of feeling this story evokes. And I don’t know if they can. What a magnificent story! The author’s descriptions were so detailed, I could close my eyes and be sitting in New Orleans, or on horseback riding through the plains, or walking through burned remains of an Indian village. The characters of White Bear and Jenny are well-developed and multi-dimensional, and I fell in love with them. I wanted to have them come sit in my den and share a meal and their stories with me. I wanted to look into their eyes and see all the way down into their hearts. In the love each has for the other, the seeking of one another despite all obstacles, the desire to sacrifice all for the other, the author has painted a beautiful depiction of Christ’s sacrificial love for us. Bravo to Ms. Bailey for this amazing book. I highly recom
