When the irritating schoolteacher's past and present collide, dragging Josh into the turmoil, he has to decide who he's willing to defend.
Fun & inspiring I thoroughly enjoyed the first book of this set. The characters are real: damaged but aware they don’t have to remain that way. Some great insight into how to overcome hurts of the past by trusting the One who takes on our pain allowing us to live freely and contentedly. The main characters are real and fun! I love how Jules and Drew remain within the story as supporting family members.
What a joy it was to open up Protecting Annie to find myself entranced by the same characters from Taming Julia. Jodie did an excellent job of fleshing out Julia's brother, Joshua and turning the tables on him with a mail-order bride. The surprises, twists and turns of Protecting Annie made for a delightful read. Kudos, Jodie for another lovely book.
"Protecting Annie" by Jodie Wolfe made for another amusing and heartwarming read just like its forerunner "Taming Julia. With its lovable, witty characters, romantic tension, and chaotic, humorous dilemmas around every corner, it made for a fun and endearing page-turner. It definitely kept me guessing about what might go wrong next and how Sheriff Josh and Schoolmarm Annie were going to get out of it on top. Besides all of that, it was great to see Julia again and her life in Burrton Springs. I definitely recommend "Protecting Annie."
