Tell us your name and a little bit about yourself<\/strong>
\nRochelle Delany here. People around town would tell you that I\u2019m pretty, complicated, and successful. I don\u2019t know if all that\u2019s true. I\u2019ve made a lot of mistakes in life, but I found the grace to overcome them. The best I can say for myself is that I once was lost, but now, in every sense of the word, I am found.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Where do you live, and why do you choose to live there?<\/strong>
\nI live in Redford\u2019s Crossing, Ohio and there is no place else I\u2019d rather be. As a teenager I couldn\u2019t wait to leave. I wanted more out of life than football games and potluck suppers, so I ran off to California, where I was virtually a prisoner for nine years. When I finally made it back home to this small town in the Appalachian foothills, I discovered that everything I ever wanted was right here all along.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What is a quirk of your personality that people don’t know?<\/strong>
\nI look really polished on the outside, but the truth is I love to get my hands dirty. When I\u2019m up to my elbows in cookie dough, or pulling weeds in the garden, or digging up nightcrawlers with Jace, those are the times I\u2019m happiest. I\u2019ve even learned to bait my own fishhook!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Who chronicled your story, and why do you think he\/she picked you?<\/strong>
\nIt was Jean Pike that wrote our story. Why she chose us is anybody\u2019s guess but it seemed like once she got to know me and Sandy, she was obsessed with us. She wanted to know every little thing about our childhoods, who our friends were, what our families were like. I\u2019ve had an interesting life and me and Sandy have a pretty special story. Maybe that was it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What obstacles did you overcome in order to reach your happily-ever-after?<\/strong>
\nOh goodness, where do I start? The biggest obstacle was learning to trust again. God. Sandy. Myself. Trusting God was the easy part, especially after I experienced my very own miracle! But early on there was a misunderstanding that made Sandy look guilty as sin. Things are not always what they seem and the more I got to know him, the more I learned what an amazing man he is. On top of all that, I was stalked by a madman, kidnapped, and nearly killed. But other than that, it was smooth sailing, lol.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Tell us about your special romantic interest. What makes them so special?<\/strong>
\nThere aren\u2019t enough words to describe what makes Sandy special. First off, he\u2019s drop dead gorgeous, but he doesn\u2019t seem to know that. He\u2019s strong as an ox, but so gentle with his son, Jace. He\u2019s built a thriving contracting business because his work is first rate, but he\u2019s humble enough to admit when he\u2019s wrong. He loves God and his family, and he\u2019d risk his life to protect us. In my book there\u2019s nothing more special than that.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The first time you saw your special person, what did you think? Was it love at first sight or did they have to grow on you?<\/strong>
\nIt was love at second sight. I knew Sandy in high school, but I didn\u2019t give him the time of day. I had no idea he was in love with me. It wasn\u2019t until I returned home after years away that I saw how amazing he was. He did some things that made me mad, but I loved him from the first moment I saw him again. I just didn\u2019t know it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What is the spiritual takeaway for your reader?<\/strong>
\nYou’ve never run farther than God’s grace can reach you.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Is there anything edgy\/possibly controversial in your book?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nRochelle’s captor is a cruel and abusive man. This was portrayed realistically in order for readers to understand Rochelle’s despair.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
