| \n\t\t\t\tHow did you come up with your title?<\/strong> \n\t\t\t\tWhen I write a new book, I always have at least one Bible verse in mind that illustrates a facet of the characters’ journeys. I also have a song or two that meshes with the characters’ hearts and desires. My song for this manuscript was No Longer Slaves by Jonathan David and Melissa Helser. If you are unfamiliar with the song, I recommend you listen to it on the internet. It reinforces the idea that we are not slaves to fear, but children of God.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t\t\t\tDo you have a person you consider a mentor?<\/strong> | \n\t\t\t\tMy original mentor was my boss. We worked together for years, and one day she came into my office closed the door, and whispered, “I do a little writing, and I was wondering if you would be willing to proof-read a piece for me.” I was shocked because she’d never mentioned her hobby to me. Through her encouragement and guidance, I began to write. Had it not been for her, I never would have even thought about writing.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t\t\t\tWhat book are you reading now?<\/strong> | \n\t\t\t\tI’m a member of three different book clubs, so I’m always reading something. I like participating because I find I read books I would never choose on my own. I am currently reading the book The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap. It’s not Christian fiction, but thus far it is very clean. It’s based on a true story of some bibliophiles who establish a used books store in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. I have enjoyed it so much, my husband and I are planning a trip to the city.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t\t\t\tWhat is your next project?<\/strong> | \n\t\t\t\tI’m currently completing the edits of a manuscript entitled “A Time for Singing.” A few years ago I visited Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts and discovered letters written by members of The Secret Drawer Society.
