Do all teenagers feel that way? I did when I was young. It wasn&rsquo;t until after my mother passed away that I realized how much I relied on her emotional support. And how much I&rsquo;d miss our weekly phone calls. Back then, those same phone calls sometimes seemed more an obligation than a pleasure. What I wouldn&rsquo;t give to have one more! I never imagined that our earthly bond would be ended so early.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; As a teen, my own daughter was temporarily estranged. Those years of broken curfews and slammed doors were heartbreaking. I cringed every time she went on a date. Although she didn&rsquo;t realize it at the time, I always acted in what I thought was her best interest. Was I strict? Yes. Fair? I thought so. Wrongfully accused? Often. Yet through it all, I would have done anything for her. Even risked my life to save hers? Absolutely. But thankfully I never had to make the choice that faces Charlotte Masterson&rsquo;s mom.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I hope teenage girls who read this novel realize how much their moms love them. If they don&rsquo;t understand now, they will someday.
