\n\t\t\t\tTell us your name and a little bit about yourself<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tPace Williams. I'm a wagon master by trade, but I've done just about everything, legal and not so legal.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWhere do you live, and why do you choose to live there?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tIn the Klamath Mountains of the Oregon Country. I came here with my friends Mike, Caroline and Jenny after my last wagon train trip, and decided to try settling down. I've been on the road since I was 11. When I met Mike's sister Oona, I knew I wasn't going anywhere.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWhat is a quirk of your personality that people don't know?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tI have a soft spot for kids. I was abused as a child, and I can't stand to see a kid suffer.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWho chronicled your story, and why do you think he\/she picked you?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tMy old friend Kathy Bailey, who wrote the first book about Mike and Caroline. Guess she wanted to see what could happen to a confirmed loner, and confirmed bachelor when he reaches the end of the road.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWhat obstacles did you overcome in order to reach your happily-ever-after?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tOona didn't want to stay in the Oregon Country. She had some fool idea about going back to Ireland and avenging her family to the English landlords. I did not want to go. Wasn't my fight, and I felt a little jealous on account of she was also avenging her dead fiance. A guy don't need that kind of competition.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tTell us about your special romantic interest. What makes them so special?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tOona, I've never met anyone like her. She lights up a room. She's beautiful and brave, and she loves ME. Kind of can't believe it. But when she turned around on the trail east and came back to help me, I guessed I better believe it. She understands about the dark parts in me, and she makes them better.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tThe first time you saw your special person, what did you think? Was it love at first sight or did they have to grow on you?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tWell, she pushed me into a horse trough, so I was kind of annoyed. But even then I thought she was pretty. We grew on each other, I think her on me faster than me on her, but that's okay. Ended up in the same place.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t"Home" is with the person God chose for you.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n\t\t\t\tWhat is your hero's main character flaw?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tPace has major problems with his self-worth, due to an horrific childhood. He figures no one would want him if she knew what he really was. He figures wrong.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWhat is your heroine's main character flaw?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tOona lets her passions carry her away, and she doesn't notice what's special right in front of her. I.E., Pace. She's got no business avenging her family by herself, but she can't see beyond the need for revenge to the good man who loves her.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWhat can readers learn from your villain?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tRoy is pretty awful, but we learn at the end that he loved Bernadette. In his own way.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tWhat makes your hero heroic?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\tHe does the right thing, no matter what it costs him. He muses that a man's got to have honor, especially if he doesn't have religion. But he gives his life to Christ, and that makes his honor mean something.\n\t\t\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n

\n\t\t\t\t\twhat makes your heroine heroic?<\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\t\tShe will fight for the people she loves, whether in her ill-conceived scheme to avenge her family or in helping Pace battle for his life.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\tThe theme of this book is homecoming. Pace has to learn that his true home is with Oona, not necessarily the Oregon Country, and Oona needs to realize that her true home is with Pace and not in Ireland any more. And they both find their true home with God, on this earth and in the next world.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
