\n\tPhillips Brooks (1835–1893), an Episcopal priest, was inspired to write Oh, Little Town Of Bethlehem<\/em> after visiting the village of Bethlehem in 1865. He wrote the poem for his church and an organist, Lewis Redner, added the music.\n<\/p>\n \n\tNat King Cole started his career as a jazz pianist. However, he also began singing and was noted for his soft baritone voice. <\/i>Cole began his performing career in the mid-1930s as a teenager. He was one of the first African Americans to host a national television variety show<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> The Nat King Cole Show.<\/i> His revolutionary lineup of piano, guitar, and bass in the time of the big bands became a popular setup for jazz. After Cole's death,his daughter, Natalie Cole,<\/span><\/a> laid<\/span> a new vocal track that was added to her father's recording of the song, Unforgettable,<\/span><\/a><\/em> and mixed into a new duet version as part of a tribute album. The song and album of the same name won seven Grammy awards in 1992.\n<\/p>\n \n\t
