Lovely story! Finding Mia is a sweet book of love changing it all, courage and redemption. It’s not only about finding but also about being found by God. You meet this broken Isobel who has a very difficult past to deal with. She’s tried to bury her pain but God has a better idea in mind: instead of running from it, let’s face it together until it’s finally healed. She meets Mia who takes hold of her heart and a crazy journey begins. I was specially touched by the scripture the author uses to confront Isobel: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). I read it and had to stop and think about it for a while. It’s so powerful! No matter how great the darkness is, it can’t overcome Jesus’ light. It will try, oh, it will! But not matter how hard, it won’t be able to. That’s a truth this book tries to picture and I think it does a good job. Thanks to Pelican Group for providing me an ARC for an honest review. Na

Finding Mia by Dianne J. Wilson is a great read. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a thrilling, suspenseful ride. It is a 5-star book. Isobel is sitting on the beach with her canvas hoping she can finally feel that desire to paint something on the canvas. She has lost her muse. While looking out she noticed a piece of driftwood with a something red tied around it. Curiosity moves her to look for that driftwood to see what it is and where it has landed. She spots a small child tied to the driftwood and hurries to check this out. The child needs emergency care and she picks her up and rushes her to the ER. Dr. Liam Brigham takes the child and disappears. Soon after, Isobel leaves the hospital. The story really speeds up as Isobel is asked by the doctor to take the little girl home with her. Otherwise, this little girl would be placed in foster care. Why would he ask her? Isobel winds us with 2-year old Mia who does not seem to talk. Isobel feels totally unpr

Finding Mia is a touching Christian romance mystery. Set in South Africa, the protagonist struggles with her past and love for a small girl child. Outside forces point her to her Faith, which could be her salvation, and Isobel reaches for personal grace as she fights human traffickers with a red-haired doctor. Dianna J. Wilson’s writing style stirs your mind while you follow her through trial after trial, working to save Mia. It’s worth the trip. MA Jones
