Hattie Steele feels like the world is passing her by. Her entire life revolves around the guest house she runs in Headley Cross with her overbearing twin brother. He even attempts to undermine her friendship with a handsome guest. Not that famous ex-footballer, Callum Trant would ever give her a second glance. Hoping to regain control of her life, Hattie takes a well-earned holiday with her aunt on Penry Island.

After retiring from football, Callum Trant divides his time between the family business and volunteering as helm officer on a lifeboat. Danger is nothing new for him. But when he’s called out on a shout and finds the beautiful innkeeper from Headley Cross on a sinking vessel, Callum realizes his heart is in danger. But could Hattie ever forget his womanizing past and feel the same way?   Or will a dangerous rescue end the relationship before its had time to grow?

Hattie Steele helps her twin brother run a vacation lodge on the banks of the river Thames. Her cooking expertise and hard work makes the lodge function, and gives a homey, would-love-to-try it feeling to Sunday’s Child. I wanted to visit Rainbow Lodge myself! When handsome ex-footballer (soccer for those of us on the wrong side of the pond) Callum Trant books his vacation at the lodge, it’s obvious the two are headed for romance. But if you think this is a simple, little romance, think again. Hattie and Cal are destined to fall in love, but their path will be filled with obstacles, adventure and even murder. Hattie must uncover a family secret and learn to stand on her own two feet and Cal will have to survive his work as a volunteer work with the RNLI, a group who saves lives at sea. This is an action-packed romance with a twist around every corner. Grab a hold and hang on. You’ll enjoy the ride! I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review. Tanya Stowe

A Page Turner! - Clare Revell in Sunday's Child has crafted a story that drew me into the lives of her characters from the first page. Hattie Steele and Callum Trant meet at Rainbow Lodge, a guest house, when he takes a holiday. They enjoy each other's company for two weeks. Thinking they will never see each other again, they go their separate ways. After a falling out with her brother, Hattie takes a long awaited vacation where, by accident, she meets up with Callum again. The pages raced by as I followed them through the ups and downs of their relationship and rooted for them to make a lasting connection. Coupled with the unrelenting excitement of the rescues performed by the lifeboat search and rescue service, Sunday's Child is a great read. -Margaree King Mitchell

Clare Revell never fails to deliver a romantic thrill ride. Her latest series, covering the seven days of the week, comes to a pitch-perfect close in the pages of Sunday’s Child. Retired football player (Soccer, mind you) Callum Trant now serves as a volunteer lifeboat helmsman with the RNLI running rescue operations at sea (talk about high drama!). Hattie Steele, meanwhile, is a ‘nester’ – a cook and hospitality specialist helping her brother run a vacation lodge. Hattie and Cal come together amidst the literal, and figurative, storms of life and have to fight a sinister element of Hattie’s family past in order to find a way to calmer seas…and the love of a lifetime.
